It symbolises the bond of your commitment and the joining of two lives.Inspired by ancient Celtic traditions, handfasting has become a meaningful way for couples today to mark the beginning of a new chapter.Every handfasting can be unique. Together, we can choose ribbon colours with personal meaning, invite loved ones to take part, or create a ritual that reflects your own values and beliefs.For me, a handfasting is more than a beautiful tradition. It is a simple but powerful way of making your commitment visible and giving shape to the promises you make as you begin your married life together.

Can we have a spiritual wedding ceremony without being religious?

Absolutely. In fact, this is at the heart of many of the ceremonies I create.For some couples, spirituality means feeling deeply connected to nature. For others, it means creating a ceremony filled with intention, ritual and presence, without belonging to any particular religion. Others may wish to honour ancestors, call in the support of God, Spirit, or other beings they hold sacred. There is no right or wrong way.Together, we create a ceremony that reflects your own beliefs, values and way of making meaning. That might include symbolic rituals, moments of silence, working with the land around you, or simply creating a space that feels grounded, intentional and deeply personal.Whether your ceremony feels spiritual or simply deeply meaningful, my role is to help create an experience that feels authentic to you.

How personal can our ceremony be?

As personal as you want it to be.Every ceremony I create is written from scratch, with no templates or generic scripts. Through questionnaires, individual interviews and plenty of conversation, I get to know you, your relationship and what matters most to you.Your ceremony can include personal stories, your own vows, meaningful rituals, music, readings, moments of reflection, family traditions, or simply the atmosphere that feels most like you. There are no expectations to include anything that doesn't resonate.The result is a ceremony that couldn't be for anyone else. One that feels authentic, reflects your relationship, and tells your story with warmth, care and honesty.

Rituals are a powerful way to bring intention, symbolism and participation into your ceremony.There are many different ways to include meaningful rituals, from old traditions such as handfasting, to ring warmings, unity ceremonies, blessings, or creating something completely unique to you.A ritual doesn’t need to follow a set tradition or have a particular religious meaning. The most powerful rituals are those that feel authentic to your relationship and the intentions you are setting. They create a moment where you, and sometimes your loved ones, can actively take part in honouring this important step.Together, we can explore what feels meaningful to you and create a ritual that becomes a natural and memorable part of your ceremony.

Can you help us write our wedding vows?

Support with writing your wedding vows is included in both my Bespoke Wedding Ceremony and ‘The Journey’ packages.For many couples, writing their vows feels exciting… until they sit down in front of a blank page. Whether you need help getting started, finding the right words, or simply want reassurance that what you've written feels authentic, I'll meet you where you are.We can also have a dedicated practice call where you read your vows aloud. Together, we'll explore the pacing, wording and delivery, and you'll have the chance to practise before the big day.It can make a world of difference, helping you feel calmer, more confident, and able to be fully present when the moment arrives.There is no right or wrong way to write personal wedding vows. They don't need to be perfect — they just need to feel true to you. My role is simply to help you feel confident standing there on the day, expressing yourself in a way that feels natural and right.As Emily & Shannan shared afterwards:"She was organised, communicative, and made us feel relaxed. Working with the beauty and energy of natural surroundings, I create ceremonies that feel deeply connected to both your story and the place you’ve chosen.Whether you’re dreaming of a woodland wedding, a ceremony in a wildflower meadow, a beach gathering, a garden celebration, or simply saying your vows somewhere that holds special meaning, we can create a ceremony that honours both your relationship and the setting around you.As a wedding celebrant based in Wales, I can perform your ceremony anywhere you choose (with the appropriate permissions from the landowner or venue). Many couples choose a celebrant-led ceremony because it gives them the freedom to create their wedding ceremony in a location that feels truly right for them.Outdoor ceremonies do require a little flexibility, and we’ll always make sure there is a plan for changing weather so you can stay relaxed and present on the day.

It comes from telling your story authentically, honouring the people and places that have shaped you, and creating moments that reflect what you truly value.This might be through personal vows, rituals, music, nature, family involvement, moments of silence, laughter, tears, or simply having the space to slow down and take it all in.The most powerful ceremonies are not the ones that follow a perfect formula.
